Three Bethesda-Olney Players Named to All-Select Roster at 2013 Academy Winter Showcase 
 

BETHESDA, MARYLAND (USA) - -- - - - MONDAY, DECEMBER 16, 2013- - - Bethesda-Olney was in force at the U.S. Soccer Development Academy Winter Showcase in Lakewood Ranch, Florida on December 12, 2013. At the showcase, Bethesda-Olney U-15/16s played to 3 wins- 0 losses and the U-17/18's played to 2 wins- 1 loss. 

Bethesda-Olney was honored to have the most All-Select Rostered academy players out of the regional Academy teams in attendance. 

The three All-Select Bethesda-Olney players are: U-17/18 Forward Jeremy Eboboisse, U-15/16 Forward Eric Matzelevich, and U-15/16 Midfielder Tommy Madden. All were proud to represent Bethesda-Olney.

Bethesda-Olney's U17/18 , Jeremy Ebobisse is one of 'Top Drawer Soccer's Players to Know' U-18 U.S. Soccer Development Academy. 

Ebobisse attended the 
U- 18 U.S. Soccer Men's National Team domestic training camp September 2013 at the U.S. Soccer’s National Training Center at The Home Depot Center in Carson, California. 

Over the summer, Ebobisse was invited to the National Combine at Nike's World Headquarters in Portland, Oregon. U.S. Soccer identified 64 of the country's elite 15- to 17-year-old players to participate in this event which is part of the expanded Training Center program launched in partnership with Nike in 2013. This five-day camp is designed to evaluate and build the core for the U.S. Under-18 Men's National Team pool. 

Jeremy Ebobisse plays for the Bethesda-Olney Academy under the highly successful Coach Matt Pilkington. 

Thomas Madden, a midfielder on Bethesda-Olney's U15/16 Academy Team is on the IMG 150 2015 Player Pool.

Madden has been a force on many Bethesda teams and is making a name for himself on his U16 Academy team and Academy circles. He is coached by the well known
 Bethesda-Olney Brett Colton.

Eric Matzelevich, Bethesda-Olney's U15/16 talented striker recently attended the U-17 Men’s National Team residency training October 20-26, 2013 at Bradenton, Florida.


Matzelevich continues to make an impact with his strong technique and speed. He is coached by Brett Colton.

CHICAGO (Dec. 5, 2013) – Four Development Academy Select rosters – two at the U-15/16 age group (1998-99) and two at the U-17/18 level (1996-97) have been named to compete against each other on Thursday, Dec. 12, at the 2013 U.S. Soccer Development Academy Winter Showcase in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.

The Academy Red and Blue Select teams for the U-15/16s kick off at 6 p.m. ET and the U-17/18 match begins at 8 p.m. ET at the Premier Sports Campus. Game updates will be provided on the Academy/YNT Twitter account @ussoccer_ynt.

The elite Academy players for all four rosters were selected by U.S. Soccer technical advisors, who will also be coaching the teams.

Among some of the noteworthy accomplishments, the U-17/18 Red Select Team features San Jose Earthquakes Academy goalkeeper JT Marcinkowski, who helped the U.S. Under-18 Men’s National Team take second place at the Limoges Tournament in France in October. That Red Select squad also features Bethesda-Olney’s Jeremy Ebobisse, who is currently tied for second in goal scoring with 10 tallies in the U-17/18 age group.

A good portion of the Academy Select Blue U-17/18 team had been called up to U-18 MNT head coach Javier Perez’s 36-player camp in September: Real So Cal goalkeeper Justin Vom Steeg, Colorado Rapids defender Quentin Pearson, San Diego Surf defender Pablo Pelaez, FC Dallas forward Coy Craft, Crew Soccer Academy midfielder Ben Swanson and Houston Dynamo midfielder Christian Lucatero.

Roster additions or changes are possible heading into the Dec. 12 Academy Select games.
